Weizenegger-Engel Insurance its subsidiaries and affiliates (collectively, “W-E”) are committed to protecting your privacy and earning your trust. This Policy describes the personal information we collect about you and how it is used and protected. This Policy applies to our prospective, current, and former clients. If there are any material changes to this Policy, those changes will be posted on this web page.

Information We Collect

We collect personal information for the purpose of serving your insurance needs and providing services to you. Personal information includes any information that identifies you or describes your relationship with W-E.

The types of personal information we may collect about you include:

  • Information you provide on applications or other forms, or in your verbal responses to our questions. This may include, but is not limited to, identifying information such as name, address, social security number, driver’s license number, and information about your assets and income;
  • Information regarding your transactions with us including, but not limited to, policies purchased and premium payment history; and
  • Information we receive from third parties, such as a consumer reporting agency.

Information Shared Among W-E

As permitted by law, W-E may share your personal information within our subsidiaries and affiliates for various purposes, such as offering you other services or opportunities made available by our subsidiaries or affiliates.

The sharing of such information relieves our clients of the burden of providing duplicate information each time they apply for a new product with any of our subsidiaries or affiliates. In addition, sharing information allows W-E to develop and enhance services to offer a competitive range of services to our clients. W-E will only share information for legitimate business purposes with the goal of providing our clients with convenience and more choices.

Disclosure of Information to Third Parties

We do not sell our client lists or any personal information regarding our clients.

We do not disclose any non-public personal information about you to anyone, except as required or permitted by law or described above. We may disclose the information we collect about you to non-affiliated companies as reasonably necessary to provide you with insurance products and services. For example, we may disclose information about you to third parties to assist us in servicing your policies and/or claims.

Safeguarding Your Privacy

We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect your personal information. W-E works with a number of third parties to help protect your personal information and maintain the security of our network and may share your personal information with such third parties to the extent necessary to obtain the third party’s services. W-E and its agents reserve the right to monitor or decrypt any communications, including but not limited to secure communications, that you send to W-E personnel. Our employees are bound by our Code of Conduct and policies to limit access to consumer information for business purposes only and keep your personal information confidential.

Additional Information for Web Site Visitors

We collect two kinds of information about our online visitors. Non-personal information is collected from visitors who are accessing our public pages. This non-personal information is used to track such things as the number of guests visiting our site; the areas of the site visited; date and time of access; browser and operating system type used by the visitor; and host or service provider information. This traffic data is collected to better serve our online visitors.

Personal information about our online visitors is only collected when you voluntarily offer it for the purposes set forth in this site, primarily during the process of enrolling as a secured user. W-E may offer you services from third parties through the W-E website. Children Under 13 Years of Age

The W-E website is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect or maintain personal information from children under the age of 13.

W-E cannot guarantee the privacy of any communications made over the Internet.
